- May 13, 2017 This is it, the cream of the crop. The Breton is the best race in Skyrim for one reason, and one reason only: a 25 percent resistance to magic. This is so much more important than many players realize, especially when choosing a character for the first time.
Skyrim Best Vampire Race Eso
Skyrim is a diverse place, filled with many different kinds of people. And I know this is going to sound horribly politically incorrect, but unlike the real world, all those different races are not created equal.

So, dawnguard's out on 360, as you may have heard (and complained about if you're on ps3 or pc, but please don't hate on us players for it, we know damn well it's unfair, it's not as if we demanded it be done on 360 first), and I'll be betting that many of us who considered vampirism a nuisance before are seriously considering going all dracula, and I think I'm not the only one who thought 'wait...won't being a vampire make things difficult for even my evil character?' because of stuff like not being able to go out in the day, etc, so I'm betting many of us are gonna start new characters for that.

Personally:
I would have thought that stealth would be important, but I don't ideally want to go with khajitt or argonian as vampires. I like the idea of an evil orc vampire in heavy armour, but get the feeling that it isn't, in reality, going to go well with vampire powers/bloodsucking, and the nigh-impossibility of using magic as such a race stops me. A nord would have pretty much the same kind of problem, I guess, only less crap at stealth.
